Friday favourites.
Lauren Larsen
Happy Friday, gentlemen! I hope this day kicks your weekend off to a wonderful start. Today I want to give you a selection of faves to check out, in case you wanted to spoil yourself a little bit this weekend.
First off, let's start with the basics.
T-SHIRTS!
One of my all-time favourite t-shirt brands is Naked and Famous. This shirt literally fits every single one of my clients perfectly, regardless of their size. It is perfect, seamless (literally, there are no seams on the sides), and has an amazing neckline. A close second for fave t's goes to Wings + Horns, and third place to Everlane.
Next up, denim.
I am not super picky when it comes to denim brands, so long as the wash is dark, the fit is slim, the branding is minimal and the denim is selvedge. Ok, maybe I am a little bit picky, but I don't necessarily have a favourite brand. If you're not looking to spend a fortune, The Gap has a great line of selvedge denim. If you're aiming for middle of the range, Naked and Famous or Nudie are great options, and for higher budgets, I'd suggest checking out A.P.C or Acne.
Skincare
Guys, I can't stress the importance of a good skincare regime enough. It's absolutely necessary to not only keep your skin fresh and clean, but also to slow the aging process and keep your handsome face youthful.
For face wash, check out Kiehls Facial Fuel, for eye cream, try Clinique Repair Wear, and for hydrating cream, I'd suggest Lab Series skincare for men.
Books
Ahh, books. A wealth of knowledge, a conversation starter, an intelligence booster, or simply to get lost in an adventure, here are a couple of my top picks for the modern, and stylish gentleman.
American Bar cocktail book, to learn how to create the best cocktail and to impress even your most fancy of friends. This Side of Paradise, by F. Scott Fitzgerald is one of my favourite classics, if you want to get lost in another time. Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell is a great book to get you thinking. And if you're in the mood to expand your worldly knowledge through the simple and beautiful logic of Winnie the Pooh & friends, check out the Tao of Pooh and the Te of Piglet.
