2015 NYFW Menswear trends; minimalism
Lauren Larsen
As men's NYFW wraps up, I've been perusing the interweb on the hunt for awesome street style photos - because a lot of the time, the style on the streets is even more inspiring than the style on the runway. I get so excited to see the way the attendees style themselves - sometimes it is as simple as carefully pairing a teeshirt and a blazer {effortlessly, of course} and sometimes it is complex and intricate - layers upon layers of designer clothing tailored perfectly & complementary accessories.
One of the trends I've been noticing is that a lot of dudes are keeping their looks minimal. Similar colour tones, single layers, basic whites and blues - crispy, classic, minimal {and I'm lovin' it}.
Both men above are wearing simple trousers, tees and jackets, and although they aren't making a crazy statement, I'd bet they are still turning heads. Flashy, big logos and obnoxious statement pieces are a thing of the past. This season and moving into the next it is all about minimalism - think Scandinavian design for your wardrobe. So, stock up on those basic tees, chinos, monotoned sneakers and jackets to match.

Minimalistic Sneakers
Another take on minimalism - sneakers! The sneaker trend started a few years back {presumably in New York due to the large amount of walking people do in Manhattan} and has not even begun it's descent. From classic Nike & Adidas styles, to sleek Common Projects and designer Balenciaga's this trend lives on, on and off the runways.
